Following the success of Baba Truro, owner Sazzadur Rahman opened Baba Penzance in 2004.
Sazzadur's goal is simple: offer consistently high quality food and service.
Sazzadur's 26 year's experience working at all levels in Indian restaurants enables him to train each member of staff to his exacting standards. Chefs must be able to cook his recipes to perfection. He insists on the importance of balancing flavours, using the freshest ingredients, cooking with little oil and presenting each dish as a piece of art. Front of house staff are trained to provide a professional, customer-friendly service.
While Sazzadur oversees Baba Penzance, manager Lucy Thorogood takes charge of the day to day running of the restaurant.
Lucy worked alongside Sazzadur for many years at Baba Truro. Her role front of house enabled her to build a strong base of loyal customers, while behind-the-scenes she contributed with administration, menu development and training front of house staff.
Now in Baba Penzance, Lucy's focus is on ensuring food and service meets everybody's expectations. She oversees kitchen and waiting staff, and her warm, pleasant approach proves popular with new and regular customers. |
